Wegovy FlexTouch 0.5mg is a GLP-1 receptor agonist based on semaglutide, FDA-approved for chronic weight management in adults with obesity or overweight conditions associated with comorbidities. Each pre-filled pen delivers 4 weekly doses of 0.5mg, making it the second stage in the standard Wegovy dose escalation protocol.

Semaglutide works by mimicking the hormone GLP-1, helping regulate appetite, reduce food intake, and promote long-term weight loss when combined with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.

This dose is used after the 0.25mg initiation phase to further support the patient’s adjustment to the therapy and improve metabolic response, with minimal side effects.

The full Wegovy treatment course includes the following weekly dosing schedule:

• Weeks 1–4: 0.25mg

• Weeks 5–8: 0.5mg (this product)

• Weeks 9–12: 1mg

• Weeks 13–16: 1.7mg

• Week 17 onward: 2.4mg (maintenance dose)
